 | Explorer Camp
Resident Program for Boys & Girls ages 7-9
This camp is for young girls and boys who want to do it
all. We keep them busy with traditional camp activities as well as give them
opportunities to develop skills they are interested in. Some of the activities
to look forward to are swimming, canoeing, creek hikes, sports, archery,
camp-fires, singing, fishing, environmental appreciation, arts and crafts,
marksmanship, and much, much more. Staff at Camp T. Frank Soles realize that
this may be a child’s introduction to camping, so we are especially aware and
attentive to their needs. Our staff strives to consistently promote YMCA core
values of honesty, respect, caring and responsibility. So if your child wants
a week of fun and adventure, Camp T. Frank Soles’ Explorer Camp is the place!

| Adventure Camp Resident
Program for Boys & Girls ages 10-12
Adventure Camp is a progressive program which enhances the
Explorer experience. Our goal is to prepare campers to "graduate" to the
Challenger Program. By the time an Adventure camper reaches their last year of
eligibility, they have been taught basic camping skills, such as fire building
and how to use a compass. They participate in group initiative activities,
like the high & low ropes courses and Soles Tower, which encourages team work and an overall
sense of trust among the group of campers. Fun is still the key with
traditional camp activities like swimming, canoeing, creek hikes, sports,
archery, campfires, singing, fishing, environmental appreciation, arts and
crafts, marksmanship, and much, much more. |
